About Us

Welcome to Amavale Droughtmasters;

A small stud that was started in 1988, by Annette's parents Doug & Pauline Dawney.  The stud is now run by Annette and her husband Jeff Rose at Barambah in the South Burnett region two and a half hours north west of Brisbane.

We run about 60 stud females plus replacement heifers.
At Amavale, we strive to breed quality not quantity

We have sold bulls to a top of $19,000 (Amavale Monash, sire Garthowen Cameron 2) at sale and to $15,000 (Amavale Gangster, sire Glenlands Garrison) privately.

We have sold females to a top of $9250 (Amavale Lace, sire Glenlands Garrison) at sale and $15,000 (Amavale Minnie, sire Garthowen Cameron 2) privately.

In September 2008 we purchased Strathfield Xplode and we feel that he will continue us on our way to breeding quality not quantity.
